My story is a simple one and like many others…I chose woodworking as a creative outlet. It seems pure and natural to make things with wood. Most of the wood I use for my jewelry is up-cycled wood cut offs from our family owned wood flooring  company that my husband and I own and operate together as a team. It feels extremely satisfying to rescue this beautiful wood from being thrown away.

I started incorporating leather and natural stone into my jewelry because I think these materials make sense together. But of course I use other materials such as metals, fibers, and resins as I design each piece. I simply make jewelry that I think is interesting and beautiful.

I believe humans have a deep connection with the earth. The need to sense this connection is woven into us like a beating heart. Its rhythm pounds in the ears of the ones that are compelled to climb mountains, sail oceans, experience the enormous calm in a sunset…and adorn ourselves with things that have been handcrafted with caring hands out of beautiful natural materials.
