Cardinal Trinket Box

Tia Riva has been creating artwork for as long as she can remember, in every form, with every media, in every creative way she could imagine After years of working with a variety of media, she decided that she would be  a mixed media artist and  illustrator. 


Through layers of watercolor, ink, salt, prisma colors and bits and pieces from old to new, her works come alive with vibrant color and texture. Symbols. Words. Patterns. Inspiration beyond paper, deep feelings and emotions resonate with each one of a kind piece.

are made from balsa wood, I use 4x6 reproductions of my original paintings and adhere them to the top and inside of the box with sealer.  The edges are detailed with washi tape and hand painted and metallic paints.  Measurements are 4 inches, x 6 inches by about 2 inches high with brass hinges.
