Anne Uros has lived in and around the Madison, WI area for her entire life. She currently resides in Deforest Wisconsin. Urso grew up in an artistic family and showed an interest in arts and crafts at an early age. Uros has felt encouraged by her family to try out all forms of art and to find her passion. She explored all kinds of art during her teenage and young adult years, and was asked to attend the Minnesota School of Art at the age of 14 – though she did not attend. Art took a backseat after Urso started working fulltime, and had a family, but the desire and yearning never left. After leaving the corporate world and during her sons' teenage years, she took a basket weaving class and owned a weaving shop for several years. Urso enjoys teaching throughout the community and has sold over 1,000 baskets throughout the United States and several other continents. She always been interested in watercolor and decided to take a class. Her instructor has been excellent – Urso found that watercolor is her true passion! Her inspiration comes from the beauty that surrounds her, whether it is landscape, animals, flowers or people. There is always a subject to work with!
